Workflow automation
Workflow automation lets fixed steps between systems run automatically: when an order comes in, the invoice is created, the confirmation goes out and stock is updated, without anyone clicking.
It is the foundation of every efficient operation, and often the first step towards AI. Tools like Zapier, Make and n8n make simple flows quickly, but hit a wall once volume grows or the rules get complicated. Then you want the flow inside your own platform, monitored and with a queue for when a system briefly does not respond.
Where classic automation stops (the input is unpredictable), the agent begins: it reads the free text, understands what is asked and triggers the workflow.
